Toyota holds not only a very difficult-to-obtain position in the automotive industry, but also one of the most wanted. That is a place the top - a global sales leader.
Of course, it goes without saying, Toyota competitors are doing everything within their power to dethrone them. The thing about sales, however, is that they're a direct reflection of consumer favor. And that is something you can't just pull out of thin air.
Toyota knows this and has done a very good job keeping consumers worldwide interested with award-winning safety, value, cutting edge service, time-tested parts and cutting-edge technology (i.e., Toyota's in-car connectivity system - Toyota Entune). They also have a solid defensive in place to maintain their place at the top. Specifically, they're planning to introduce eight new models to consumers in the emerging markets of Brazil, China and India.
While Toyota has been keeping exactly what these eight models will be under wrapsā¦refusing even any hints at what segments they might be part ofā¦they have shared plans to manufacture them all locally in an effort to keep costs low. We also know all eight are slated to launch by 2015.
Toyota's ultimate intention behind these eight, new mystery vehicles?
Great question! And an exciting one to answer.
Toyota hopes they will help support their goal in which by 2015 half of all vehicle sales come from emerging markets. Half!
What do you think? Will they do it?
Mark Toyota serving Plover, Mosinee, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids certainly thinks so. Of course, if you want to find out for sure, all you have to do is stay tuned. We might be located in Plover, but we're committed to bringing you Toyota news from around the globe.
