Be it high speed internet or video games controllers, we at Mark Toyota believe wires are for the birds. Mark our words, because before you know it, we will be living in a world where no one will ever again have to live in fear of tripping over stray cables or an extension cord being too short. It is a world that can't get here fast enough, and since the last thing any of us want to do when driving a new or used car is to be fiddling with our god-forsaken phone chargers, Toyota has arrived to make the future the present.

Which leads us to the 2013 Toyota Avalon. Not going to lie, this bad boy had us sold pretty quick. From the 3.5-liter V6 engine that pumps out 268 HP of pure asphalt domination, to the black and cream leather trim interior, it's as powerful as it is classy. That alone was enough to get us amped, but then we caught wind of the Technology Package, and our excitement became an obsession.

To be more precise, the obsession was with its Qi wireless charging unit. Said to be the first of its kind to be implemented into a vehicle, the Qi wireless charging unit is a pad in the center console of the 2013 Avalon that drivers can drop their Qi-enabled smartphone into and charge it . . . wirelessly that is! And if you're concerned about your smartphone not working in the Qi pad, worry not, friend, because Toyota says that the hardware will compatible with 34 different phone models.

The only catch? Well, it looks like the Technology Package is only available in the 2013 Avalon Limited model. So if the notion of wirelessly charging your phone while cruising down the freeway is just too great for you to fight, then come see us at 1765 Park Ave. in Plover, WI 54467 before it's too late.
