Toyota specifically dedicated this plant to produce the extremely popular Tundra and Tacoma trucks. It also has been thriving throughout the years and recently celebrated a wonderful milestone with one million Trucks officially coming off the assembly line in Texas.

Right after that took place, Toyota Texas hit another outstanding accomplishment. It was the ten year mark and the brand is celebrating accordingly. Additionally, to honor this achievement, Toyota is donating not 1, but 10 Toyota pickups to local San Antonio non-profits to thank them for the support, friendship and trust over the past ten years.

"Toyota Texas is committed to deepening our roots in our neighborhood here on the South Side," says Toyota Texas President Chris Nielsen. "We want to thank San Antonio, its citizens and community partners for their unwavering support during the past decade."1

The plant is currently produces 200,00 trucks a years and has boosted the economy by employing 2,900 locals. All this is due to the heavy investment of $2.2 billion in the Southern U.S. operations.
