In a press release last week, Scion revealed new details about the upcoming upgrade of the FR-S. The exterior will retain its aggressive yet sleek aesthetic, this time accented with front and rear spoilers, HID headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and painted in beautiful "Lunar Storm."
The true beauty, however, lies with the black and camel-accented interior. The seats are leather and Alacantara; the steering wheel and parking brake lever are leather; and camel trim and stitching is featured throughout. Only one thousand Series 2.0 models will be produced, and in case you forget, the sequential number is tastefully embroidered on the dash.
The new FR-S retains the same potent FA20 engine, matched to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. According to Scion VP, Andrew Gilleland, “It’s the perfect car to take from the race track during the day to the red carpet that evening.”
