When you think of a reliable car, chances are you think of a Toyota. And right you should. While Toyota vehicles aren't always the most sporty or flashy, they last the miles like no other, and offer superior fuel economy and emissions ratings.

But what about a hybrid?

Toyota introduced one of the first modern hybrid cars, the Toyota Prius, to the global market in 2000, while everyone else was busy freaking out about Y2K. How have these early models held up over the years?

Bob Old didn't get a first generation Prius in 2000, but invested in a second generation as soon as they were released in '04. It's been 11 years, and he's put almost 435,000 miles on the odometer.

According to Bob, it's the most reliable car he's ever had. He's given up on the idea that it might ever fail, so long as he continues bringing it in to his Toyota Service Center for maintenance.

If you've got an aging Toyota, keep it on the road longer with regular maintenance visits to Mark Toyota.
