Toyota's 2017 Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle will be on display on billboards across the Los Angeles and San Francisco area between April 3rd and May 28, but they will be more than just buzz for the zero-emission, water vapor-dispersing dynamo. In partnership with Clear Channel Outdoor Americas, the 37 Toyota Mirai accolades will be built by Toyota to be a kind of catalytic converter. With proper humidity and airflow, 24,960 total square feet of pollution-scrubbing titanium dioxide-coated vinyl surface will help remove the equivalent of 5,285 vehicles per month worth of nitrogen dioxide (NOx), the key component comprising acid rain and smog, from the air. Oxygen reacts with the billboards' light-activated, energized surfaces, converting NOx to nitrate to eliminate it. Mark Toyota can certainly get behind this – imagine what it could do for the Plover area and beautiful central Wisconsin.
Toyota put its future-embracing tech proudly on display at the first Environmental Media Association Impact Summit in Beverly Hills, California, too, where 2017 Mirai, ensconced in titanium dioxide coated vinyl wrap, delivered an extra breath of fresh, purified air for guests as they entered.
We'd love to see the 2017 Toyota Mirai, currently available in California, show up at our 1765 Park Avenue showroom, but in the meantime, our eco-friendly 2017 Toyota Prius Super Ultra Low Emission (SULEV) Vehicles can certainly offer a green test-drive experience. Each showcases an advanced Hybrid Synergy Drive system, and both Prius Two and Prius Three veritably own the road with long-haul EPA-estimated fuel economies of up to 54 mpg city/50 mpg highway. Take the scenic drive from Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Amherst, Weston or Wausau and come see us here in Plover today!
