A roadside emergency can happen to anyone. You can get a flat tire, run out of gas, or worse. As a responsible driver, you will want to know how to handle these situations.

It should include a flashlight and multi-purpose tool, as well as jumper cables, in case you can fix the problem on your own. You should also have a cell phone charger, blankets, water, and snacks. In the winter, add an extra blanket.
If you do not know what the problem is or know you cannot fix it, you will need to call for help. Roadside assistance can often solve the problem and have you on your way. If not, they can at least tow you to a local garage. Wait for them to show up at your vehicle if it is safe to do so.
